General Election to be postponed

The Cayman Islands Recovery Committee has announced that His Excellency the
Governor, Mr Bruce Dinwiddy, intends to postpone the Cayman Islands General
Election.
Following consultation with the Cabinet, the Governor has postponed the
election scheduled for 17 November 2004 until 2005. A new date will be announced
as early as possible for the election.
